Important — Read This First

FieldIQ is a diagnostic guidance tool only. It does not replace the judgment of a qualified HVAC technician. All repair and maintenance decisions, and the execution of any work, remain the sole responsibility of the technician and their employer. FieldIQ accepts no liability for any outcome resulting from work performed using this platform.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the FieldIQ platform ("Service"), you ("User") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") on behalf of yourself and the company you represent. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

These Terms apply to all users, including company owners and technicians.

2. Description of Service

FieldIQ provides an AI-assisted HVAC diagnostic tool designed to help certified technicians troubleshoot HVAC equipment. The Service generates step-by-step diagnostic guidance based on symptoms and equipment information provided by the user.

The Service is intended to assist qualified professionals — it is not a substitute for professional training, certification, or on-site judgment.

3. Disclaimer of Liability — Diagnostic Guidance

FieldIQ is not responsible for any repairs, modifications, or actions taken as a result of using the Service. The diagnostic steps, recommendations, and information provided by FieldIQ are generated by an AI system and may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for a specific situation.

All of the following remain the sole responsibility of the User and their employer:

  • Verifying the accuracy of any diagnostic suggestion before acting on it
  • Ensuring all work is performed by appropriately certified technicians (e.g., Ontario 313A/G2 certification)
  • Compliance with all applicable building codes, safety regulations, and manufacturer specifications
  • Any damage to property, equipment, or systems arising from work performed
  • Any personal injury or death arising from work performed
  • Any financial loss incurred by the User, their employer, or their clients

FieldIQ, its owners, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to the use of this Service, including but not limited to property damage, equipment failure, bodily injury, or financial loss.

4. No Professional Advice

Nothing in the Service constitutes professional HVAC advice, engineering advice, or a professional recommendation. FieldIQ does not hold any trade certification and is not a licensed contractor. The Service is a software tool only.

Always apply your professional judgment. If a diagnostic suggestion does not seem right, do not follow it. Trust your training and your tools on-site.
