FieldIQ ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of our users. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

By using the FieldIQ platform, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

Account information: When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, password (hashed), company name, and city.

Diagnostic data: When you run a diagnostic, we collect the symptom description, equipment model number, steps taken, and the outcome. This is linked to your company account.

Nameplate scans: If you use the nameplate scanner, the image is sent to OpenAI for processing and is not stored on our servers.

Usage data: We may collect basic usage metrics (pages visited, features used) to improve the Service.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and operate the FieldIQ diagnostic Service
  • To generate AI-assisted diagnostic guidance using your inputs
  • To allow company owners to review their team's diagnostic history
  • To manage your account and subscription
  • To communicate with you about your account or the Service
  • To improve the accuracy and quality of the Service over time

4. AI Processing

FieldIQ uses OpenAI's API to generate diagnostic guidance. When you submit a diagnostic, your symptom description, equipment details, and step results are sent to OpenAI for processing. OpenAI's use of this data is governed by OpenAI's Privacy Policy.

Do not enter sensitive personal information, customer names, or addresses into the diagnostic tool.

5. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database provider. Data is stored on servers located in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to your data being transferred to and processed in the United States.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with third parties except:

  • OpenAI — for AI diagnostic processing (see Section 4)
  • Supabase — for data storage and authentication
  • Vercel — for hosting the application
  • As required by law or to protect the rights and safety of FieldIQ or others

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data and diagnostic history for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or billing purposes.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Withdraw consent at any time by discontinuing use of the Service

9. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The Service is intended for use by adults and qualified professionals. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under the age of 18.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the effective date. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
